Additional Opportunities

DukeGEN is a sophisticated and active network of alumni who help create dialogue, debate and connections between Duke entrepreneurs. We provide the energy and coordination to encourage Duke entrepreneurs around the globe to connect and increase their chances of success. Contact Howie Rhee for more information.

Duke Angel Network

The Duke Angel Network actively engages and matches Duke alumni network expertise with portfolio companies to support growth and success. The global Duke community offers a uniquely powerful opportunity for networking and guidance from industry experts and successful entrepreneurial leaders. DAN members work actively to connect DAN portfolio companies with the Duke network to foster collaboration and further success.

The StartupConnect program provides resources for students seeking internships or full-time employment with startups, including advising, one-on-one mentorship and an annual networking fair that brings startups to campus to meet students. Alumni are key to the success of the program and are encouraged to participate in the networking fair or in an advisory role. Contact Howie Rhee for more information.

Duke Startup Challenge

Started in 1999, the Duke Startup Challenge is our year-long entrepreneurship competition awarding several prizes, including a $50,000 grand prize. A track and prize for alumni entrepreneurs is also available. Contact Howie Rhee for more information.
