Andrea Luteran Yackenovich is the program director for the Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative. Andrea facilitates the implementation of campus-wide programs in all areas of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative. Andrea also coordinates the I&E Initiative’s Development efforts across all schools at Duke University.

Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry with honors from Mary Washington College in 2001. She completed her doctorate in biochemistry from Duke University in 2007 under the direction of Professor Eric Toone, where she studied the thermodynamics of monovalent and multivalent protein-carbohydrate interactions in aqueous solution. Andrea completed her postdoctoral appointment and served as a research associate under the co-supervision of Professor Eric Toone and Professor Dewey McCafferty at Duke University. She joined the Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative in July 2012.
