As an academic dean, I support students who live or did live in Bassett House. I am the administrative liaison for computer science, mathematics, physics, statistical science, the Information Science + Information Studies certificate, and the Decision Science Certificate. I am also a member of the undergraduate Curriculum Committee. Jeff Forbes is an associate professor of the practice in the Department of Computer Science. From 2011-2014, I served as a Program Director for the Education & Workforce program in the National Science Foundation’s Directorate for Computer & Information Science & Engineering. My research interests include computer science education, intelligent control and robotics, reinforcement learning, and social networks. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in computer science from Stanford University.
