Megan Kelly works in the education segment of the Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative, primarily with the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Certificate program. She is responsible for promotion of the I&E Certification, advises prospective and current students, and manages day-to-day program administration.

Prior to joining the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative, Megan worked at American University in Washington, DC as an Academic Advisor in the School of International Service. She served as a guide for undergraduate students, providing a supportive space for them to determine their academic and career goals and navigate the process of earning their degree. She believes in working in tandem with students so they can accomplish their goals and have a positive college experience. 

Before working in higher education, she worked in the non-profit sector for the International Rescue Committee, helping to resettle refugees in Charlottesville, VA. She also spent a year working at the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation outside of Dublin, Ireland.

Megan is from Virginia Beach, VA. She has a master’s degree in Media Entrepreneurship and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, both from American University.  Megan is excited to bring her passion for helping others and her experience in the entrepreneurial space to the Duke team.
