Pilar Timpane is the multimedia producer for I&E where she is responsible for video and photography coverage of key innovation and entrepreneurship programming and events at Duke University. This includes coordinating and managing videos for Duke I&E’s YouTube page, interviewing entrepreneurs, alums, and participants in Duke I&E programs, and providing social media support to the communications team.

Prior to coming to Duke, Pilar worked at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ as Teaching Assistant in a new media program and as an Associate Producer and Editor on several documentaries, including the award-winning science documentary Atlantic Crossing: A Robot’s Daring Mission, which aired on PBS in 2011. In 2013, she started her own media production company and has worked on independent documentaries and film series for clients nationally and internationally, with a focus on stories that educate, inspire, and transform.

Pilar is a New Jersey native who calls Durham, NC home. Pilar holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and a Masters Degree from Duke University Divinity School.
