Innovation Support Programs

Innovation Is for Everyone

At Duke, we believe people from all backgrounds and academic disciplines have ideas that could change the world. We help connect you to a variety of resources available to support innovation in engineering, arts, health, social impact, business, law, and more.

The downloadable Innovation Support Programs Guide provides an introduction to some of the Duke and area programs available to researchers (faculty, research staff, post-doctoral scholars, and graduate students), students, social innovators (those pursuing innovative solutions to social problems), alumni, and community members.

Commercialize Your Research

The Office of Licensing & Ventures (OLV) manages invention disclosures for researchers from all schools and colleges at Duke, helping to license technologies from the physical sciences, biological sciences, information sciences, computer sciences, and more. Specialists guide researchers through review, licensing, business development, and legal matters. To protect intellectual property rights, Duke faculty and researchers should disclose their invention before sharing results with the public.
