Innovation to Impact Program

Mentoring Team

Leverage the experience and personal networks of a volunteer team of dedicated mentors. Mentors will provide industry-specific feedback and guidance on next steps – but the hard work is done by the teams.

Intellectual Property Assessment

Receive a third-party assessment of your team’s technology relative to the prior art in field. The team will be provided a report on the technology’s likely patentability, defensibility, and freedom to operate in the identified markets.

Market Evaluation

You’ll get a third-party report on the size of the identified market(s), potential for growth, and competitive dynamics.

Expert Advisors

Tap into Duke’s global network of alumni and friends to receive targeted advice on your technology application from individuals interested in your venture’s success.

Business Model Workshop Series

Iteratively build a business model outlining who in the market values your team’s technology, why and how your team plans to deliver this value, and what partnerships and resources will need to be in place to make it happen. Teams will learn to perform structured interviews with potential customers.

Crowdfunding Support

Receive priority place on Duke’s partner page on Indiegogo for an opportunity to raise non-dilutive funding online. Get expert coaching on building a winning online campaign.
