Duke I&E Seeks Alumni Mentors for Students

Published: 2 years ago | 0 comments

You asked, and we delivered! Many of you requested a way to connect with Duke entrepreneurship students in an advisory capacity. To meet this need and enhance the overall educational experience of our students, the Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative is excited to announce a mentorship program through the undergraduate I&E Certificate. As a mentor, you will be able to work with certificate students, providing professional guidance, external perspective, and industry expertise as it relates to the students’ experiences through innovation & entrepreneurship.

Mentoring partnerships for Certificate students will begin in the Keystone course and will offer students the opportunity to connect with a mentor to discuss entrepreneurial lessons. In the Capstone course, teams of students will be assigned mentors who will serve in advisory roles as the teams evaluate, strategize, and eventually develop new products or services.

These relationships will require a semester-long formal commitment, with two to three interactions during that time. Mentors may be paired with more than one student in a given semester, and will have the option of serving as a Keystone and/or Capstone mentor depending on their interests.

Interested in serving as a mentor for Duke I&E Certificate students? Complete this brief online interest form and the Certificate team will contact you regarding upcoming opportunities: https://duke.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_ddjLK1EZ3yoyMWF.
