Senior Program Coordinator
As Senior Program Coordinator, Kylie Seltzer helps students across Duke discover their entrepreneurial potential. She fosters opportunities for students to develop the imagination, creativity, empathy, and change-making skills that enrich both their academic experiences and their lives beyond the classroom. Drawing on a background in research, community engagement, and higher education, she connects students with experiences, mentors, and resources that support innovation and personal growth. She is passionate about helping students build the confidence to pursue ideas that create meaningful impact.
Before joining Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Kylie earned her PhD in the History of Art and Architecture at the University of Pittsburgh, where she studied how nineteenth-century Parisian architecture reflected and reinforced ideas about race. She then served as the Research Strategist at Common Cause Consultants, partnering with organizations across sectors to design research-informed strategies for social change. Most recently, she was the Zietlow Postdoctoral Fellow with Carolina Public Humanities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she developed professional training programs for undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars while working with campus and community partners to make knowledge more accessible and actionable.
Outside of work, Kylie is a fitness enthusiast, a certified professional coach, and proud mom to two shih tzus, George Michael and Phil Collins.
