CEO, SkyShowtime

Monty Sarhan is a media executive and entrepreneur. Over the course of his career, Sarhan has launched many start-ups including digital properties, television networks, and multiple streaming services. He has held senior leadership roles at leading entertainment companies spanning programming, strategy, distribution, business affairs, and operations.

Sarhan is the founding CEO of SkyShowtime, the European streaming service that is a joint venture of Comcast and Paramount. Since its formation, Sarhan has led the company—developing its strategy, building the team, overseeing successful launches across more than 20 European countries, leading its push into original programming, and driving subscriber and revenue growth across its diverse markets. Today, SkyShowtime brings premium entertainment from some of the world’s most respected studios and storytellers to millions of households across Europe.

Before joining SkyShowtime, Sarhan served as Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition at Comcast Cable, where he led content-acquisition efforts and oversaw finance, operations, and strategy for the group.

Previously, Sarhan was Executive Vice President and General Manager of MGM+ (formerly EPIX). He led the company’s revenue, distribution, and growth strategy, securing full national distribution for its linear networks and launching its direct-to-consumer streaming service. During his tenure, Sarhan more than doubled subscribers and grew revenue by over 80%.

Prior to that, Sarhan worked in business affairs at Paramount. Earlier in his career, he founded and led multiple start-ups.

He holds a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
