Duke Microfinance Leadership Initiative (DMLI)

DMLI is collection of students, faculty and staff at Duke University building connections across campus and beyond to the fast-growing world of microfinance, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable enterprise. Their mission is to stimulate discourse about microfinance and other issues of sustainable development through Duke’s network of students, faculty, alumni, and the microfinance community beyond Duke’s borders. They seek to raise awareness about microfinance and other innovative development models, and examine their potential for helping in poverty alleviation and economic development. DISI provides opportunities for Duke students to experience microfinance first-hand through research, internships, conferences, career development, and fund management.
