Students Taking an Active Role in Sustainability (STARS)

STARS is an organization comprised of graduate and undergraduate students, which will oversee the allocation of $25,000 during the 2011-2012 academic year to support sustainability initiatives at Duke. While STARS prefers visible on-campus projects, projects of all types are encouraged and eligible for funding. Some examples of project areas include alternative transportation, office or dormitory greening, environmental advocacy and education, and attending environmental conferences. The application can be found at this link: http://dukegroups.duke.edu/stars/files/2010/04/Application.pdf or e-mail sustainability@duke.edu for a Word Document version.
