Brad Brinegar is Chairman of McKinney, recognized as one of the most effective creative agencies in America having served a range of top clients like P&G, Audi, Sony, Samsung, ESPN, Sherwin-Williams, Travelocity, NASDAQ, and Choice Hotels.

Brad rose from trainee to CEO of Leo Burnett USA, with a brief interruption to launch Ammirati Puris Lintas Chicago. He became CEO of McKinney in 2002, building what Advertising Age quickly called “an agency uniquely suited to survive—even thrive—in a digital world.”

During his tenure as CEO, McKinney was twice named to the Ad Age A-List, won Creativity’s “Campaign of the Year” honors and produced a long list of work that was recognized at Cannes, The One Show, CLIO Awards, D&AD, and The ANDY’s. Over that period, McKinney ranked 9th of over 300 Effie-winning agencies, and in 2012 Effie Worldwide named McKinney “The Most Effective Independent Agency in the World.”

In 2008, Brad led the management buyout of McKinney from HAVAS. In 2012, Brad and his partners sold McKinney to Seoul-based Cheil Worldwide. In addition to headquarters at The American Tobacco Campus in Durham, McKinney has offices in New York and Los Angeles.

Brad is a former director of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) and founding chairman of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Agency Advisory Board. He has served as a Grand Effie juror and as jury chairman of the IAB MIXX Awards. Brad holds an AB in anthropology from Dartmouth College and an MBA in finance from Columbia University.
