About

To serve the many Duke students interested in gaining startup experience, StartupConnect hosts workshops, regional events, and our annual StartupConnect Networking Fair.

Students

Interested in working with a startup? Exploring your career or internship options? The Startup Connect Networking Fair lets you mingle with founders and representatives from dozens of startup organizations to chat and learn more about the startup life, internships, and jobs in a low-pressure environment. Spring 2024 date TBD.

This event is open to all Duke undergraduate, graduate, and professional students; it is co-hosted by Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Duke I&E), the Pratt School of Engineering, the Career Center, and the Fuqua School of Business.

Workshops & Events

Networking Fair

Every year, the StartupConnect Networking Fair draws hundreds of students from across Duke to visit with startup employer representatives, may of whom are Duke alumni. This event—cohosted by I&E, Pratt, Fuqua, and the Career Center—is a great place to mingle, learn what it’s like to work at a startup, and make career connections.

“Coming to StartupConnect was such a great way to stumble upon an amazing opportunity. They bring in so many companies and do a great job connecting them with students who are excited to work in a startup environment.”

Wilhelmina Ryan ’15, who met her current employer as a senior at Startup Connect
