SC_NetworkingFair_wmInformation about 2017 StartupConnect Networking Fair

The 4th annual Duke StartupConnect Networking Fair will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the Gross Hall Atrium from 6 to 9 p.m.

Check out the list of companies that will be attending!

Join us for this informal networking event! Students from all schools at Duke University are welcome to visit with startup employer representatives, many of whom are Duke alumni. This is a great place to bring your questions about what it’s like to work at a startup, learn more about opportunities at startups, and find internship and career opportunities. No dress code required.

TO DO before the fair: Register to attend the fair here, and submit your resume to our resume book to be considered by employers who will be at the fair. You can submit here — the deadline is Feb. 10.

The fair is hosted by by the Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative, the Pratt School of Engineering, the Career Center, Duke Futures and the Fuqua School of Business.

General Information

Every year at our networking fair, over 300 Duke students from across the university meet with dozens of startup employers on campus to learn more about their startups, startup culture, and opportunities in entrepreneurship.

The evening starts with an introduction to the 30+ startup companies who bring experience from their current work to provide advice and opportunities to students seeking internships and full-time jobs.

Immediately following the introductions will be the networking event. Students meet with startup founders and representatives, many of whom are Duke alumni, and many from local startup organizations such as the American Underground, Groundwork Labs and The Startup Factory.

The informal setting allows students and startups to exchange ideas, questions, and learn more about internships and career opportunities. Students will also be able to sign up for follow up interviews held on campus with interested employers.
