Become more creative, innovative, and resilient—and turn your ideas into reality.

Duke in Silicon Valley Group with Kevin Hoch

When it comes to Duke students, our outlook is simple: entrepreneurial action is for everyone. Whether you want to start your own company, change the world with a social venture, or learn skills that will apply to any post-graduation career path, Duke’s innovation and entrepreneurship courses, programs, and organizations are here to support you.

You’ll develop your mindset and skills and work on real-world problems alongside diverse teams of fellow students, faculty, researchers, and industry experts, turning ideas into action that can impact lives.

Wherever possible, we offer experience-based education—our students learn by doing. In courses, extracurricular programming, and even events, we work to provide experiences that are in service of ambitious, worthy goals and that offer opportunities for meaningful collaboration.

We believe that innovation and entrepreneurship complement all courses of study and all career goals. Whether you want to take a single course on a topic you’re passionate about, you enroll in the I&E Certificate, you join the Student Founders Program, or you simply attend I&E events that interest you, you can find the levels of education, involvement, and community that are right for you.
