Home of the Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative, the Bullpen is the hub for all innovation and entrepreneurship activity at Duke University. Located at 215 Morris Street in historic Downtown Durham, the Bullpen features collaboration and classroom space as well as the Duke I&E offices. Since opening in August 2015, the Bullpen has been featured several times in the news.

In the Heart of the Durham Innovation District

The Imperial Building was built in 1916 by The Imperial Tobacco Company of Great Britain and Ireland. Built in the Romanesque Revival style, The Imperial Building remained operational as a factory until the mid 20th century when it was purchased by the DC May Decorating Company. Currently owned by Measurement Inc., the building houses the Bullpen; located on the 3rd floor. Original features of the building were preserved and incorporated into the design of the Bullpen space, which was completed in July 2015. The Bullpen is proud to be part of the growing Durham Innovation District, where historic buildings are becoming home to new and exciting ideas and growing startups.
