Senior Director, External Relations

Erin Gasch works with colleagues across Duke to lead a comprehensive constituent engagement and fundraising program for Duke I&E. This includes strengthening and growing the innovation and entrepreneurship network for alumni, parents, students, and other community members, and identifying and cultivating Duke alumni and other practitioners who are innovators, funders, founders, intrapreneurs, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial thinkers so they can contribute to the Duke I&E student experience through mentoring, classroom activities, and experiential learning. Erin also supports the work of the Duke I&E Advisory Board and helps build a case for support to inspire Duke alumni, parents, and friends to share their philanthropic resources with Duke I&E.

Prior to joining Duke I&E, Erin was Assistant Dean for Development & Alumni Relations at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, where she provided leadership for the alumni relations, annual giving, stewardship, donor relations, communications, and advancement services teams that served Fuqua alumni and donors around the world. Prior roles at Fuqua include Director of Alumni Relations, Director of Annual Giving, Associate Director of Marketing & Employer Services, and Marketing Specialist. Before working at Duke Erin served as a communication consultant for Mercer Human Resource Consulting, a business magazine editor, and a freelance writer.

Erin was born in Durham, NC, and raised in Dallas, TX. She is a proud “Double Dukie” with a Bachelor’s in History from Duke (Class of 1995) and a Master of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business (Daytime MBA Class of 2003).
