Deputy Director
Kevin Hoch is a designer, innovator, and strategist dedicated to creating high-impact learning environments and experiences. With a diverse background in program development and enhancement, he aligns goals and fosters collaboration across organizational levels. Kevin’s passion lies in coaching individuals and teams through co-creation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving towards transformative success.
As Deputy Director of Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Kevin oversees curricular and co-curricular program delivery, finance, and operations. He is co-founder of the Open Design Studio, which teaches and supports equitable, human-centered design and co-creation of solutions to complex social challenges. As an instructor, he brings practical, project-based learning to life in courses on design, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Kevin leads the Duke in Silicon Valley program, offering students immersive experiences that connect them with industry leaders and alumni, and is a committed academic advisor who finds great reward in supporting students’ personal and professional development.
Prior to Duke I&E, Kevin worked in program development at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, where he played a lead role in the global expansion of Executive MBA programs and the launch of the Master of Management Studies degree. He also was an Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse within the strategic change group, leading teams on global change projects for asset servicing.
Kevin holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s from James Madison University.
