Co-Founder and Partner, Embark Partners
Co-CEO, Ryzer

Michael is the Co-CEO of Ryzer, the leading provider of software to youth and college sports camps. He found his way to Ryzer after co-founding a search fund: Embark Partners.

Michael's entrepreneurial drive comes from his upbringing in Raleigh, North Carolina, where his family operated a textile business that his great grandfather started decades earlier. He grew up watching his dad and uncle grow the business from a small curtain company into one of the last American-manufactured bedding businesses in the country.

Prior to Embark and Ryzer, Michael was the Head of Business Development for FlixBus. As the second US employee, he played a key part in scaling the business from pre-launch to a transportation network of over 80 cities, helping pave the way for its 2021 acquisition of Greyhound Bus Lines. FlixBus is now the largest bus company in the world. Michael started his career as a management consultant at Kaiser Associates.

Michael earned his MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and his bachelor's degree from Duke University. He lives in Des Moines, Iowa with his wife, Chrissy—who he met on their first day of freshman year at Duke.
