Owner & President, Foam Fabrication Commerce
After starting his career in marketing and consulting with large companies (Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, McKinsey & Co.), Mike has been involved in the early-stage technology world for the last 25+ years. Mike has served in a variety of marketing, business development and general management roles at early stage companies in the real estate, consumer internet, and eCommerce industries, including LoopNet (acquired by CoStar Group), BabyCenter.com (acquired by Johnson & Johnson), and HomeGain (acquired by Classified Ventures). At LoopNet, Mike ran the world's two largest online business-for-sale marketplaces, BizBuySell and BizQuest. He has been a founder or co-founder of two companies, and is currently the Owner/President of a company he purchased from its founder, FoamOrder.com. Having experienced both large company environments and the volatility of the early stage world, including three exits/sales and two company failures, he enjoys working with Duke students as an I&E mentor and sharing his experiences in both large and small company environments.
Mike graduated from Duke University in 1988 with a degree in Public Policy and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1995.
